Decision Maker FAQ

Common questions about our random decision maker and how to use it effectively

How It Works

Our decision maker uses a random selection algorithm to choose from your options. Simply add your choices, click the spin button, and watch the wheel select a random option for you. It's perfect for breaking decision paralysis and adding some fun to your choices.

Customization

Yes! You can add up to 10 custom options. Type your option in the input field and click the plus button. You can also remove options by clicking the trash icon (minimum 2 options required).

Templates

Quick templates are pre-made option sets for common decisions like 'What to eat?', 'What to watch?', 'Where to go?', and 'What to do?'. Click any template to instantly populate your options and start spinning.

Randomness

Yes! Our decision maker uses a cryptographically secure random number generator to ensure fair and unbiased selection. Each option has an equal chance of being selected, regardless of position or previous results.

Usage

This tool is designed for fun, low-stakes decisions. For important life decisions, we recommend using this as a starting point for further consideration, not as the final answer. Always think through important choices carefully.

Limits

You can add between 2 and 10 options. The minimum is 2 options to make a decision, and the maximum is 10 to keep the interface manageable and the spinning animation smooth.

Saving

Currently, custom options are not saved between sessions. However, you can use the quick templates as a starting point and modify them to create your own decision sets quickly.

Results

Simply click the spin button again! You can spin as many times as you want until you're satisfied with the result. The decision maker will keep selecting random options from your list.
